They are good for treating many usual illnesses also some will have a rare effect to treat disease. Because they have an anti-inflammatory compound and contains antioxidant. Piles of studies show that polyphenols in herbs help combat such diseases as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and more. Many herbs and plants are beneficial that they have healing properties. Our ancestors have started to use of medicinal plants centuries ago
Even now many of us rely on such traditional remedies. Today, herbs are available in tablets, capsules, powders, tea, extracts, and fresh or dried plants.
Origination of Ayurveda

Why plants can be used as medicine?
Right from the beginning of civilization man has used plants as medicines. Plants are naturally available, manufacturing medicines are eco friendly. Naturally available and economical compared to modern medicines. The active ingredients of plants mostly do not have side effects. also has balancing ingredients and neutralizes the side effects.
Being plants living and organic it is compatible to the human body. Hence there might not be rejection by the body in the form of allergic reactions.
Herbs used as medicine
There are specific herbs which are used for medical purpose. These herbs aim to cure the diseases but also helps to boost immunity. EG: echinacea – to stimulate the immune system and aid the body in fighting infection

TULSI/BASIL Leaves: The Medical Plant
Tulsi is also referred to as basil leaves. Due to is diverse healing property tulsi has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda. It has medical properties.
It has a healing element, It purifies the blood and also helps to treat respiratory tract infections because of its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-allergic properties. It helps to treat skin disorders, teeth disorder ND Eye disorder.
Relieves from stress. Chew 12 leaves twice a day.
Mainly it is used to treat cough, cold and fever.
Decoction n of the leave+honey+ginger helps to relive from cold cough and influenza also remedy for bronchitis
In children, it helps to sharpen the memory because the leaves are nerve tonic. Just chew 4 or 5 leaves in the morning.
It has anti-inflammatory properties, this herb is used for treating hyperacidity.
Oil is prepared using Bhringaraj leaves and root, this oil treats graying hair balding and used for hair disorder which will promote deep sleep.
This is mainly for hair care and renovate the kidney and liver.
Neem leaves can be used as external and internal usage.
It is believed that it can reduce insulin requirements by between 30% and 50% for diabetes.
It treats and speed the healing of gastric problems
Many use neem leaves for skincare and haircare, making oil or face/hair masks. Neem quickly kills the parasites and used as treatment for hair lice.
The neem oil can be diluted with water and can spray on infected plants it kills insects and parasites.
It has gel property, it is mainly to give relief burn and wound and also treat sunburn. Alovera is used as a conditioner for silkier and smoother hair.
It is taken orally to reduce cholesterol and triglycerides for a healthy heart.
Henna leaves are food for hair, it leaves a natural color to your hair also promotes hair growth. Boil henna leaves in mustard oil and apply to hair to stimulate hair growth. These leaves are skincare too for various skin issues like fungal, boils, skin burns, eczema, and vitiligo.
The paste of henna flowers mixed with vinegar is quite a relief for headache.
The oil of the fruits is used traditionally to treat the disorder of liver and diaphragm.
Ashwagandha is called the king of herb in Ayurveda. Its roots and orange-red fruit have been used for hundreds of years for medicinal purposes.

These leaves are long and has soothing aroma
Easy possible way to make lemongrass tea at home, these leaves look stalks preparation of tea. Cut the stalks into 1 or 2-inch boil a cup of water, strain, and drink.
These are mostly used to garnish food, and they look wonderful. Fresh dried ginger leaves make tasty tea.
Per studies, antioxidant property (AOP) of leaves was strongest in Etlingera followed by Alpinia and Hedychium.
Ginger is powerful and can treat a wide variety of issues, it prevents toothache.
Promotes healthy digestion, reduces joint pain ) Drink the juice of ginger leaf and ginger root to alleviate arthritic and rheumatic pain.)

These are tiny round leaves with veins, grow on the ground.
These leaves are used to treat hair loss. You can make hair oil using leaves. These leaves are used to cook a dish called Thamuli in larnatla. Bhrami leaves are super anti-oxidant, may reduce inflammation. Improves brain function. May help to reduce stress and anxiety, also can lower blood pressure.
May help reduce ADHD symptoms.
Delicious recipes are done out of these tiny leaves like tambuli chutney and rasam.
This is freshly sprouted first leaves of the common wheat plant. Or you can say these are young grass from the wheat family. Looks thick and dry grass. Wheatgrass is nutritious. It Is also sold as, dietary supplement in tablet capsules powder and liquid forms.
Often people grow in their kitchen garden and when they are young make juice of it adding water and drink.

These leaves can act as a mast for bad breath.
To note there are different types of mint, classification has been made as there are 13 to 24 species that exist from the mint family.
These leaves are consumed as paan in India. This has a habit of chewing paan after a good meal. The leaves are full of vitamins like vitamin C, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and carotene and are a great source of calcium.
